Nyaho Tamakloe diagnosis poor CHAN showing

first_imgFormer Chairman of the Ghana Football Association, Nyaho Nyaho Tamakloe says the poor quality of the Premier League is to blame for the abysmal performance of the Local Black Stars at the ongoing CHAN tournament in Sudan. The championship organized by CAF for home based players selected from various domestic leagues on the continent, is expected to hand the bragging rights to the strongest league on the continent. The local Black Stars finished at the foot of the Group table after failing to win a match and Dr. Nyaho Nyaho Tamakloe believes the team’s woeful performance is a reflection of the Premier League.“To me what happened in Sudan is a complete reflection of the level of football in the country – we definitely don’t have any better team to put up apart from what [Coach Herbert] Addo took to Sudan. I have said time and again that poor quality players are what we have on our hands at the moment,” he added. But Chairman of the Premier League Board Welbeck Abra Appiah disagrees. He believes Coach Herbert Addo did not select the right players for the tournament.Source: Joy Sports/Ghanalast_img
