In the sea of negative news, here is one good and happy news. At one of the longest-running and most prestigious film festivals in the United States, the NEW YORK FESTIVALS – FILM & TV AWARDS promotional film by the Rijeka Tourist Board entitled “RIJEKA I MISS YOU” won silver in the CORPORATE IMAGE – Public Relations & Social Engagement category. “When the film was made and when the musical background “I Miss You” was chosen, it was impossible to guess how this title would actually be the real slogan of the current tourist situation nowadays and in this situation., points out Spomenka Saraga from the Baludichi film. The film was produced by BALDUČI FILMA from Zagreb, the producer and screenwriter of the film is Spomenka Saraga, and the director of the film is the Frenchman Herve Tirmarche, for whom this is the fourth film in Croatia and each of them has been awarded many times around the world. The promotional film was shot at a number of attractive locations in Rijeka, presenting Rijeka as a year-round tourist and city-break destination. Through a series of attractive shots, the film wanted to “take the viewer” through the city and the specialties that adorn it, from the beautiful Trsat Castle that proudly stands above the city, Rijeka’s museums with unique exhibits, top delicacies of beautiful Rijeka restaurants to one of the most beautiful fish markets in Europe. The awards ceremony was supposed to take place during the NAB SHOW in Las Vegas, the world’s largest digital technology fair related to the film industry, but the fair was canceled due to the COVID19 virus.
