Two Johnson City businesses team up to help lower amount of animals born from strays

first_imgJOHNSON CITY (WBNG) — Every Dog’s Dream Rescue teamed up with the Chalk Market for an interactive fundraiser on Sunday. Organizers of the event said the total cost of the initiative is $12,000. The proceeds from this event are going toward the center’s Trap Neuter Release program. The program is hoping to perform around 50 surgeries on cats in the area. Every Dog’s Dream Rescue is working to help lower the amount of kittens born to strays in the area.center_img Manager of Every Dog’s Dog’s Dream Rescue Tammy Peters said, “Unaltered cats are becoming a huge problem in this area and no one is doing anything about it, these cats are a nuisance for the homeowners and it’s not safe for them.” The people who attended the fundraiser had the opportunity to choose their own project. last_img
