The World Boxing Super Series (WBSS) have announced that Scotland’s Josh “The Tartan Tornado” Taylor and Belarus’ IBF Champion Ivan “The Beast” Baranchyk will face off on May 18 at The SSE Hydro in Glasgow, Scotland in the first of the 140 lb. division semi-finals.Baranchyk (19-0, 12 KOs) booked his place in the semi-final on Oct. 27 when he defeated Sweden’s Anthony Yigit for the vacant IBF title via a seventh-round stoppage. “My nature, effort and my love of boxing will help me get the Ali Trophy,” Baranchyk said via press release. Taylor (14-0, 12 KOs) impressed with his own seventh-round stoppage over American Ryan Martin in a very one-sided bout, will be fighting once again at The SSE Hydro.
