Rep Coles plan to prioritize asset management for roads signed into law

Triston Cole to help determine how to best spend available money on roads, bridges and other parts of the transportation system has been signed into law.Cole’s plan calls for the Transportation Asset Management Council (TAMC) to be moved to the Michigan Infrastructure Council. The goal is to revitalize the state’s crumbling infrastructure.“The Michigan Infrastructure Council prioritizes roads and determines how to best spend available money on roads and bridges. This is a unified plan that is a step forward in fixing Michigan’s transportation system,” said Cole, of Mancelona. “Additionally, TAMC requires an inventory of what assets each area has to ensure the work being done includes any aging unseen infrastructure.”House Bill 5408 is now Public Act 325 of 2018.### Categories: Cole News,News 03Jul Rep.
