Chelsea line-up v Watford: Mourinho signals changes for FA Cup test

first_imgChelsea boss Jose Mourinho may be forgiven for putting out a supremely strong side for his side’s next clash – Sunday’s FA Cup encounter against Watford – but it looks as though he will take a more pragmatic approach.Clearly unhappy at the manner with which the Blues lost to Tottenham last time out, the Portuguese looks likely to rotate his squad as the arduous festive period draws to a close.Boasting a fully-fit squad, Mourinho has a wealth of options for the visit of Watford, commenting that it represents the perfect opportunity to freshen his players up and provide game time for those severely lacking.“Obviously we are going to rest a couple of players. That’s normal,” he said.“We want to try to beat Watford, but at the same time we have to analyse the players’ condition and make the right decision for them.“I have players from the first-team and players that we need to have in condition to play.“Hopefully Ramires is getting there step-by-step. He played 45 minutes [against Tottenham]. He’s a player we need and he’s a player we haven’t had for the first part of the season.”Beyond Ramires, there are slight concerns over Thibaut Courtois, who – although not expected to play this weekend – injured a finger against Tottenham.Below is how Chelsea could line-up: Chelsea boss Jose Mourinho 1 1 Chelsea fans, how do you think you’ll line-up against Watford?
