Huntley earned his second offensive nod of the season (and third of his career) while Penisini earns his first career defensive lineman honor. In addition, running back Zack Moss has been named the Rose Bowl Game Pac-12 Player of the Week.The Utes have earned eight Pac-12 player of the week selections this season – three defensive, three defensive line and two offensive with Penisini joining Huntley, Leki Fotu, Bradlee Anae and Francis Bernard as honorees.Moss is Utah’s second player this year to earn weekly honors from the Rose Bowl, joining Huntley, who earned the honor after Utah’s win over Washington State.Huntley earned his 20th career victory as a starting quarterback at Utah with the win, throwing for 284 yards (19-of-24, 1 TD, 0 INT). In the second half, Huntley completed 11-of-12 passes for 184 yards and rushed for a touchdown to propel Utah to the victory. He is currently ranked fifth in FBS in ESPN’s Total QBR rankings (89.4), passing efficiency (182.5) and completion percentage (.738).Penisini tied his career high with seven tackles in the win over Washington, including a 12-yard sack in the third quarter. He forced a fumble in the first quarter that Utah recovered, leading to a field goal. The Ute defensive line, which leads FBS in rushing defense (56.0), held Washington to 53 yards rushing, including just one yard on the ground in the decisive second half. Utah has held eight of nine opponents under 100 yards rushing this season. Five of Washington’s seven second-half drives ended in either a three-and-out or a turnover.Moss rushed for 100 yards on 27 carries for his fifth 100-yard rushing game of the season. He led Utah with five catches (41 yards) and scored a nine-yard receiving touchdown as well as a two-yard rushing touchdown. Moss broke the Utah school record for total touchdowns and has 36 for his career (34 rushing, two receiving). He is averaging 103.5 rushing yards per game, which ranks second in the Pac-12.The Utes have a bye this coming weekend and return to action on Saturday, Nov. 16, hosting UCLA on Fox at 6:00 p.m. MT.
